• Developed a PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) to align with NHS procurement requirements.

• Measured our carbon emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.

We are also pleased to announce that Eco Ninjas has successfully completed the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment. This self-assessment and reporting tool resulted in Eco Ninjas receiving a Level 2: Comprehensive rating, which includes net-zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions.

This achievement is instrumental in helping us understand how we align with the NHS’s long-term sustainability priorities. It provides a clear pathway for ongoing progress.

First Implementation: Theatre Badge Hat Range

Our recent implementation of the theatre badge hat range at Orthopaedic Theatres at Musgrove Park Hospital in Somerset has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Surgeons and registrars have praised the personalized badge hats. They help them remember each clinician’s name and role, which can often be forgotten after the morning brief.

Enhancing Team Communication

Knowing all the names and roles of the staff in the operating theatre improves communication and teamwork. Additionally, students and new staff members have expressed how the use of name badges has helped them feel more connected and integrated into the team.
